Colby College goalkeeper Heather Garni (Wellesley, Mass.) picked up her fourth shutout of the season as the White Mules (8-4-1) defeated Bates (7-7) in Lewiston, 2-0.

Colby got on the board quickly, when senior midfielder Caitlin Skulley (Wakefield, Mass.) slid a pass to classmate Kara Scheibel (Kennebunkport, Maine), who knocked the ball past Bates keeper Susie Arnold (Falmouth, Mass.) just six minutes into the game. The Mules added an insurance goal in the second half by sophomore Sara Lovitz (Fairfield, Maine).

Colby picked up its eighth shutout of the season, while Bates lost out on its first CBB conference title since 1985. Garni made 10 saves for Colby, while Arnold had 12 for the Bobcats.
