BATES DROPS HOME OPENER, 1-0, TO TRINITY

LEWISTON, Maine -- The Bates College women's soccer team (2-2) dropped its home opener today, falling 1-0 to the Trinity College Bantams (1-3).

Trinity picked up the only goal of the game in the 39th minute, as sophomore Anna Sullivan (Bridgewater, Vt.) took advantage of a defensive breakdown. Classmate Kerry Hood (Londonderry, N.H.) had the assist. The Bobcats outshot Trinity, 23-10, but goalkeeper Sarah Bradley (Mansfield, Conn.) was outstanding, making 15 saves in the win.
