THURSTON NOTCHES FIFTH GOAL OF WEEK IN 1-0 TRIUMPH OVER CONN COLLEGE

NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Senior midfielder Jolene Thurston (Post Mills, Ct.) notched her fifth goal in three games this week as the Bobcats defeated the host Connecticut College Camels, 1-0.

Thurston scored the game's only tally about seven minutes into the second half. The Bobcats controlled play for much of the afternoon, outshooting Conn, 13-8. First-year goalkeeper Kim Martell (Needham, Mass.) stopped seven Camel shots for her fifth career shutout.
