BATES ROUTS TRINITY, 4-0, IN NESCAC WOMEN'S SOCCER

LEWISTON, Maine -- Bates College senior forward Kate Dockery (New York, N.Y.) scored her sixth and seventh goals of the season as the host Bates College Bobcats (4-1, 1-1 NESCAC) evened their New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) record with a 4-0 win over the Trinity College Bantams (1-3, 0-2 NESCAC).

Dockery scored the only goal of the first half in the 30th minute when she headed home a beautiful corner kick from sophomore defender Catherine Crosby (Lincoln, Mass.). She made the contest her second multi-goal game of the season with another header in the 73rd minute on a pass from junior Melissa Ostuni (Lynnefield, Mass.). Crosby picked up her second assist on the day on another corner to junior Krissie Whiting (Contoocook, N.H.), while rookie Katie Carroll (Pennington, N.J.) added her fourth goal of the campaign to close out the scoring.

Junior Kim Martell (Needham, Mass.) registered her third complete-game shutout of the season with four saves. Trinity's Sarah Bradley (Mansfield, Conn.) and Katherine Mahoney (Wellesley, Mass.) combined for 16 saves for the Bantams.
