LEWISTON, Maine -- Three different players recorded two goals each as the Bates College women's soccer team (5-1-0) defeated non-conference foe Simmons College (4-4-0) on Leahey Field today.

Leading the way for the Bobcats was junior midfielder Kate Dockery (New York, N.Y.), who registered five points on Bates' first three goals. She scored all the Bobcats would need with 11:25 remaining in the first half on a set play from a corner kick. She assisted the Bobcats' next goal three minutes later, fighting through a couple of tackles inside the box to set up rookie forward Lindsay Harvey (Winchester, Mass.) for her first career goal. Dockery ended the first-half scoring by pouncing on a rebound that slipped through the hands of Simmons goalkeeper Erin McIlhinney (No. Reading, Mass.) with three seconds left in the stanza.

Sophomore midfielder Krissie Whiting (Contoocook, N.H.) scored her first two goals of the season in the second half, while junior forward Amanda Waterhouse (Cumberland, Maine) showed she was fully recovered from a season-ending injury from a year ago with her first career two-goal game.

Sophomore Kim Martell (Needham, Mass.) and rookie Lynne Antinarelli (Bedford, Mass.) combined for three saves in the Bobcats' third shutout of the season. McIlhinney had 16 saves for the Sharks in the losing effort.
