CONNECTICUT COLLEGE RALLIES TO DEFEAT, 10-8, BATES IN WOMEN'S LACROSSE (Taken from a Conn. College press releases)NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Senior midfielder Kim-An Hernandez (Boxford, Mass.) scored two goals in the final 10 minutes of the game as 15th ranked Connecticut College rallied to defeat Bates 10-8 this afternoon at Connecticut College. Hernandez scored what proved to be the game-winner with 9:18 to play and then added an insurance goal with 3:43 remaining to help the Camels improve to 4-2 on the year. Trailing 8-7 with 10:39 to play, junior attack Meghan Welch (Framingham, Mass.) started the Connecticut College rally with her third goal of the day which tied the score. Bates (2-3) began the second half with a 5-1 run and took their first lead of the game at 8-7 when sophomore attack Jennifer Sall (Gladwyne, Pa.) found the net with 12:35 to play. Sall's goal helped the Bobcats erase a 6-2 first half deficit.
