BATES WOMEN'S LACROSSE BUMPS BRIDGEWATER STATE, 18-7 BRIDGEWATER, Mass. - Bates College junior Blaine Hudson (Madison, Conn.) scored six goals today as the Bobcats women's lacrosse team (5-6) defeated the host Bridgewater State College Bears (11-4), 18-7, here today. Hudson's six goals are personal career-high and the team's best single-game performance of the season. Sophomore Jenn Sall chipped in with four goals and one assist, while the team's leading scorer, sophomore Erin Flynn (Newton, N.J.) added three goals and an assist. The 18 goals in a game was Bates' season-best, surpassing their total in a 17-2 victory over Plymouth State College on Tuesday. First-year goalie Jen Strahle (Ridgewood, N.J.) and senior Cil Bloomfield (Exeter, N.H.), combined to make 7 saves in goal for the win.
