In a round robin meet to determine seedings for the NESCAC Championships, the Bates College Volleyball team defeated Tufts and Trinity and lost to Amherst. The Bobcats were ranked eighth in the most recent AVCA Division III New England polls, while the Lord Jeffs were seventh. The Bobcats were playing without first-year outside hitter Lauren Fennessey (Joplin, Mo.), who is second on the team in kills.
