The Bates College volleyball team earned the second Eastern College Athletic Conference championship of the season for the Bobcats, wrapping head coach Marsha Graef's career on a high note. The Bobcats won all three matches in by a 3-1 score. In the first round, the Bobcats avenged a loss the weekend before to Trinity College at the NESCAC championships. In the semifinals, Bates handled second-seeded Wheaton College for the third time this season. The Bobcats bageled SUNY Geneseo in the first game of the match en route to their third ECAC championship and first since 1990. Graef finishes her career with an overall record of 416-144. Sophomore setter Kate Hagstrom (Portola, Calif.) was named tournament MVP.
