VOLLEYBALL WINS CBB MATCHUP WITH BOWDOIN, 3-1

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bates College volleyball team jumped out to easy wins in the first two games of the match, 30-17 and 30-13, before dropping the third game and finally winning in four, 3-1, over CBB rival Bowdoin.

Sophomore OH Liz Wanless (Belleville, Ill.) led the Bocats with 18 kills and six errors in 35 attacks for a .343 hitting percentage. Senior captain Lauren Fennessey (Joplin, Mo.) recorded a double-double with 14 kills and 17 digs. Rookie setter Kristen Johnson (Denver, Colo.) added 50 assists, a career-high.
