The Bates College softball team (3-8) completed a six-game road trip today, dropping a doubleheader to host and four-time NCAA tournament participants Salisbury State University (14-4). The Bobcats held a 4-2 lead after three innings, but Salisbury State pushed home three runs in the bottom of the fifth to take game one, 5-4, handing sophomore Krissie Whiting (Contoocook, N.H.) her second loss of the season. Bates rookie Cami Dyson (Arvada, Colo.) knocked a double for the Bobcats. SSU got a home run from Lisa Gentillela. The Seagulls jumped out to a seven-run lead after two innings in the second game and went on to the 9-2 victory.
