LEWISTON, Maine -- Bates College women's indoor track and field captain Abby Phelps of Chester, N.H., earned All-New England honors with a fifth-place finish in the 5000-meter run at the New England Division III championships held in Merrill Gymnasium on the Bates campus Feb. 21.

Phelps was Bates' only All-New England performer of the afternoon. Her time in the 5000 was 18:52.23. The All-New England honor was Phelps' for indoor track, though she has earned the honor three times in cross country.
