FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE HASTINGS NAMED ALL-AMERICAN IN ONE- and THREE-METER DIVING FOR SECOND STRAIGHT YEAR
ATLANTA, Ga. Ð Bates College sophomore diver Andrew Hastings of
Weston,
Mass., earned the second All-America honor of his season and fourth of
his
career, taking fourth place in the three-meter event at the NCAA Division
III swimming and diving championships at Emory University tonight.
Hastings placed fifth in the one-meter event on Thursday. The 29 points
Hastings scored for the Bobcats earned them 29th place at the
championships. Hastings is only the second swimming and diving athlete in
Bates history named an All-American four times, joining Melissa Sander '96
