FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE COULIE SELECTED BY ANAHEIM IN NINTH ROUND OF MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL AMATEUR DRAFT LEWISTON, Maine -- Bates College center fielder Jason Coulie of Manchester, N.H., has been selected in the ninth round of the Major League Baseball amateur draft. Coulie was taken by the Anaheim Angels with the 260th overall selection in the draft.
Coulie was the fourth Division III player taken in the draft and the fifth
from New England to be chosen. The draft consists of 50 rounds with as
many as 1,500 players selected.
