The Bobcats placed second of 16 teams at the prestigious Codfish Bowl race at Franklin Park, Mass., defeating several New-England-ranked teams, as well as four Division II squads.

Junior tri-captain Mike Danahy (So. Windsor, Conn.) was the Bobcats top finisher for the third week in a row, placing fifth with a personal-best time of 25:27. Classmate Matt Twiest (Albuquerque, N.M.) earned his first top-10 finish of the season, placing ninth.

Junior Steve Dutton (Londonderry, N.H.) and first-year runner Andrew Gruel (Bridgewater, N.J.) finished 13th and 14th respectively. Sophomore Chris Lupo (Portsmouth, R.I.) rounded out the scoring in 34th place with a time of 26:52. Juniors Brendan Hahesy (Melrose, Mass.) and John McGrath (Merrimack, N.H.) placed 35th and 37th in 26:56 and 27:00, giving the Bobcats their closest spread of the season from one to seven at 1:33.
