The Bobcats best showing came from junior Robbie Ruttman (Uitenhage, South Africa), who reached the semifinals. The third seed in the tournament, Ruttman squeaked by his first two matches in three sets, before routing his quarterfinal opponent from Wesleyan University, 6-0, 6-3. Ruttman lost to the top seed in the draw in the semis.

In the other half of the draw, junior Dmitri Kudrjavtsev (Tallinn, Estonia) earned the fourth seed, winning his second-round match, but falling in the quarterfinals, while senior Greg Norton (Mansfield, Mass.) won his opening-round match against an opponent from MIT before losing in the second round.

In the doubles tournament, Ruttman and Norton received a first-round bye and defeated opponents from Colby, 7-5, 3-6, 6-3, in the second before dropping a quarterfinal match to the top seed from MIT.
