Nine different Bates College men's lacrosse players scored goals at the
Bobcats (2-1) defeated the Vassar College Brewers (1-2) on the road, 18-5.
Leading the charge was sophomore Mike D'Addario (Locust Valley, N.Y.), who
scored four goals for the third straight game. He also dished his first
two assists of the season for a total of six points. Junior
midfielder Ben Guardenier (Mt. Kisco, N.Y.) added three goals and an
assist, while senior captain Frank Lombardi (Simsbury, Conn.) and
sophomore midfielder Kevin Purviance (Glastonbury, Conn.) each added three
goals. Junior midfielder Mike Apfelbaum (Harrisburg, Pa.) and first-year
attack Dylan Cruess (Concord, N.H.) each had two assists on the day. All
three goalkeepers got into the game and an aggressive defense kept the
Brewers off the board in the second and third periods.
