Bates 13, Wentworth 5 BATES LACROSSE DROPS WENTWORTH, 13-5, IN BOSTON BOSTON, Mass. - The Bates College men's lacrosse team (2-0) won their first game up north today, defeating Wentworth Institute of Technology (0-1), 13-5, here today. First-year attackman Jack Sandler (Hicksville, N.Y.) led all scorers with five goals, while classmate Dave Frederick (Hartford, Conn.) and junior Mike D'Addario (Locust Valley, N.Y.) each tallied three times to lead the Bobcats to a non-conference victory. The Bobcats and Leopards were involved in a tight game for most of the first three periods. Bates led, 2-1, after the first period and 6-3 at halftime. After a tied third period, the Bobcats used a late spurt, outscoring Wentworth, 6-1, in the final stanza. D'Addario and Sandler combined for five of the Bobcats' final six goals. Junior Dirk Huntington (Falls Church, Va.) stopped 19 of the 23 shots he faced.
