MEN'S LAX EXTENDS WIN STREAK TO THREE WITH 19-2 WIN OVER MAINE MARITIME

CASTINE, Maine -- The Bates college men's lacrosse team (6-1) extended their winning streak to three games by dominating the host Maine Maritime Academy Mariners (1-4), 19-2, in Castine today.

Offensively, the Bobcats were led by the leading scorers from the psat three seasons. Sophomore Jack Sandler (Hicksville, N.Y.) and senior Mike D'Addario (Locust Valley, N.Y.) each tallied five goals, while junior Aaron Sells (Brookline, Mass.) had four. The Bates defense also had a fine day. The two goals allowed by the Bobcats were the lowest total in just under two years, since a 24-2 over UNE March 30, 1998.

The Bobcats play their first game at Garcelon Field on Saturday against NESCAC foe Wesleyan 1 p.m.
