WATERVILLE, Maine -- The Colby College men's lacrosse team (3-3) got scores from six different players in topping Bates College (6-3) Wednesday afternoon, 6-4, on Seaverns Field.
Colby notched five first-half goals en route to a 5-0 lead at the half. Bates got one back in the third, but the Mules pushed the lead back to five when Jeremy Barron (Denver, Colo.) found the back of the net with 13:44 remaining in the game. Bates answered just sixteen seconds later when Mike D'Addario (Locust Valley, N.Y. beat Colby net-minder John Shea (Mountain Lakes, N.J.) to make it 6-2. D'Addario and Aaron Sells (Brookline, Mass.)would each add a goal for the Bobcats in the game's final three minutes, but it was a case off too little too late for Bates as the Mules held on for the 6-4 victory.
The two goals for D'Addario were numbers 155 and 156 for his career. He is now two shy of the all-time mark at Bates.
