Bobcats Face Host Vassar In Tip-Off Tournament Finals

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- The Bates College men's basketball team moved into the finals of the Vassar College Tip-Off Tournament with an 86-78 victory over Green Mountain College in the opening round.

The Bobcats placed all five starters in double figures, led by sophomore guard Billy Hart (Haverhill, Mass.) who struck for 25 points, including seven-of-nine shooting on three-pointers. Forwards Rommel Padonou (Libreville, Gabon) and Ed Walker (Roxbury, Mass.) each had 15 points. Padonou connect for a double-double, with a game-high 10 rebounds, while hitting seven-of-10 free throws. Sophomore Alex Wilson (Duxbury, Mass.) had 14 points, while first-year guard Matt LaPointe (Beverly, Mass.) had 11 points, all on free throws, and dished nine assists. Click Here For Full Box Score
