(T189) Sam Kieley '02 88 94 182 Junior Nick Brunero (West Warwick, R.I.) became the first Bobcat ever to finest performances by a Bates golfer at the New England Intercollegiate Golf Championships at New Seabury, Mass. Brunero's two-day total of 163 was good for 15th place among Division III players (72nd overall), tied for fourth among NESCAC golfers. Senior captain Peter Coleman (St. Davids, Pa.) was the Bobcats' second finisher, posing a 172, good for 47th among Division III golfers. His 81 on the second day matched Brunero's for the team's best single round. The Bobcats placed 10th among Division III schools as a team (30th overall), one of their best finishes ever, posting a total score of 680. They were fourth among NESCAC teams.
