POLAND, Maine -- The Bates College women's golf team defeated Colby in the first-ever head-to-head meeting between the two squads. Leading the way for the Bobcats was sophomore Melissa Wilcox (Glastonbury, Conn.), who took medalist honors with an 85, while rookie Natasha Robinson (Georges Mills, N.H.) placed second with a 90. Colby's top finisher was senior Beth Monahan (Scituate, Mass.), who finished seven strokes back with a 92.
