St. Joseph's 13, Bates 1

The Bates College (3-8) baseball team could not get the bats going and fell, 13-1, to the St. Joseph's College (8-13-1) Monks.The Bobcats managed to scratch out a run in the third inning when sophomore centerfielder Austin Philbin (Clinton, Mass.) singled up the middle, took second on an error by the third baseman, stole third as the pitcher wandered back tot he mound and scored on a wild pitch.
