Colby 12, Bates 4

Colby sent 11 men to the plate in the third inning, scoring seven of them, to cruise to a 12-4 win.

Senior pitcher Dan Chisholm (Westfield, Mass.) struggled, giving up 12 runs (seven earned) in 4 1/2 innings of work. First-year left-hander Kevin Walsh (Wakefield, Mass.) was strong in relief, allowing four hits in 4 2/3 innings, but allowing no runs. Sophomore LF Jason Coulie (Manchester, N.H.) led the Bobcats offense, going 2-3 with a double, a run scored and a hit-by-pitch, raising his batting average to .423.

The Bobcats and White Mules meet for a pair of games tomorrow at 1 p.m.
