BATES BASEBALL FALLS TO LYNCHBURG COLLEGE, 14-1

Lynchburg, Va. - The Bates College baseball team dropped their second straight on their Southern trip, falling to Lynchburg College, 14-1. The Bobcats were vicitmized by five errors and gave up a pair of home runs. Bates' lone run came in the sixth inning on an RBI single by first-year catcher Ben Donaldson (Lemoine, Maine), who drove in sophomore left fielder Ben Bines (Lexington, Mass.). Junior Drew Blicharz (Rutland, Vt.) picked up the loss.
