Ice Cream
Dairy Joy is a short walk from Bates, just past St. Mary’s Hospital. There is a Dairy Joy on Lisbon St. in Lewiston and Taber’s and Roy’s (see under Golf in "Things to do Off-Campus") both offer take-out ice cream.
For a real treat, drive 15 min out Rt. 202 in Auburn (follow Center St. to Washington St.) past Exit 75 to Hodgman’s for frozen custard. Not open Mondays or Tuesdays.
