Next Reunion in 2000. We have discovered that Frank Coffin was on the football squad at Lewiston High School and at Bates as a freshman and sophomore. Adding this to his illustrious career since graduation qualified him to receive the prestigious Distinguished American Award of the State of Maine Chapter of the National Football College Hall of Fame, which Frank received at the Annual Scholar-Athlete Award Dinner held at Bowdoin College....A couple of classmates were featured in news articles of their local papers: The Kennebec Journal wrote, "Don't buy Frederick Downing a rocking chair any time soon." Fred volunteers about forty hours a week at the County Correctional Facility in Augusta as an educational coordinator at the jail, teaching inmates how to use a computer among other things. Also active in town affairs, he chairs the Planning Board and is a member of Literacy Volunteers of America. An avid hiker, he has climbed Mt. Washington over seventy-five times, and climbed Mt. Katahdin twenty times and more. The Times of Redwood City, California, featured Allan Rollins last March when Al received the Citizen of the Year Award from the American Legion Post. A volunteer for forty-five years, he has been involved in scouting, Little League, and the Senior Center, and says, "Keep active. Don't vegetate."

She is now associated with the firm of Kaplan & Jacobson in Providence, Rhode Island. He adds, "I hope all is well with you."

Next Reunion in 2005. Having accomplished our 50th Reunion with style and enjoyment, our new officers are ready to guide the Class toward a successful 55th! And we give heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped with time and money to make our 50th a memorable event....Thanks to Eugenia Cierpial Ameson, we received a great color news photo of Col. Lewis Millett giving the "V for Victory" salute at Hickham field in Honolulu when President Clinton honored World War II vets on the fiftieth anniversary of the end of the war. The President asked Medal of Honor winners to stand, among whom were Col. Millett and a dozen other survivors.
