Estelle Lebeau (lebea1el@mail.cmich.edu) writes: "I graduated with a Ph.D. in chemistry from the Univ. of North Carolina about a year and a half ago. From there I went to Johns Hopkins as a post-doctoral fellow and instructor of chemistry. The work was fun, but I am just not a city girl. I am finally into something more permanent now (which feels very good), having joined the chemistry faculty at Central Michigan Univ. I enjoy being on this side of the desk, and the pace of life in Mount Pleasant reminds me a lot of our lives in Lewiston. I guess I will have to get used to snow again here in Michigan, not having seen much of it since leaving Bates, so this winter will be a shocker I'm sure. If any Batesies are ever in the the middle of Michigan, they are more than welcome to stop by."
