Goal

Permasite will provide for:

• Distinct styling opportunities for multi-tiered identity systems
• Fluid page coding — for standard text resizing — that won't break the layout
• Absolute positioning in the manner of CSS Zen Garden
• Full column full height background colors and images
• Code that can be validated to W3C standards, with no browser hacks

Objectives

• Prototype for, and demonstrate to, Bates Web interface designers early in development in order to integrate as many usage scenarios as possible
• Support ILS guidance for coding standards — such as file naming, ID and class names, and commenting —and versioning
• Deliver sustainable system that will reduce time to release for interface design projects
• Provide documentation that will allow staff and contracted designers flexibility and consistence in their work
