Coming Out Weekend designed to raise awareness of sexuality issues

In order to promote awareness of gay, lesbian and bisexual issues in the Bates community several student groups are sponsoring National Coming Out Weekend October 9 through October 11. These events will provide members of the Bates community with a chance to learn about and celebrate issues of sexuality.

"The purpose of National Coming Out Weekend is, "to increase the awareness of gay rights and to celebrate," said Carrie Delmore '00, one of this weekend's organizers.
