Ryan Lovering, '12

Ryan’s sailing experience consisted mostly of time in catboats, before coming Bates and became a bobcat himself. As the mast of our FJs is placed comparatively far back and we have two sails as opposed to one, the only thing cat like about our fleet is the sailors. Our team motto of “who says cats are afraid of the water” will hopefully remind Ryan of his past while he learns his way around our boats.
