Katharine grew up sailing on the coastal waters of Kansas. While she had never sailed in anything but open waters before Bates, she is quickly adapting to lake sailing. Katharine is the only regular female member of the sailing soccer squadron, and the only one with a starting spot. In fact Katherine decided to switch from soccer to sailing, but only a few know why.
