Ben has been sailing all his life at Southport Yacht Club in Southport, ME. Not only was he a notable racer there, but he has helped the program grow in his capacity as Junior Racing Team coach. He has raced competitively in boats from N-10's to 420's and J-24's. Most notably he finished 1st in the Central Bemis Regatta and fourth NSA Bemis in 2000. Ben has also served the team from team's Maintenance Director to Co-Captain and is currently the recruitng Coordinator. Ben also lead the first sailing AESOP Trip this fall 2002, and another in 2004.
