Bates College Sailing Team has been a part of Bates for over 40 years. We are a competitive club that races against Division I teams from around New England, The team finished 2006/7 ranked 16th in New England, our highest rank ever. The team is growing fast; now with close to 30 members, including our largest freshman class yet; new sails 2 years ago; a brand new fleet of 12 FJs for the 2007/8 season; and a home venue at Taylor Pond Yacht Club in Auburn, ME.

The team also offers recreational sailing and instruction for the Bates community.
