Why You Chose Bates:   "Coming to Bates has been the smartest decision I have made in my life. I knew I wanted to run in college, and I knew that I wanted to run in Maine. Coach Fereshetian and Coach Goewey are very knowledgeable, and concerned with our development not only as athletes, but as students and people. After spending four high school years at an "über preppy" prep school, at which I did not always fit in, I was ready for a change. I find Bates to be refreshing with professors and students who are incredibly intelligent, yet at the same time down to earth and very egalitarian. I have not once regreted the decision to come to Bates, and the team is a big part of why I love it here."

T-Unit is not competing for the most part of the indoor '05-'06 season. The little guy is quite the history buff and will be in the library focusing on his beloved Early American Studies. Like Radio and Percy, Tim continues to train everyday at practice and do the workouts. He will actually be competing at the USM Invitational on January 28 and again a week later at the State of Maine Meet.

USM Invitational 1/28:  3rd/3 in 5000m Run (18:06.00). Tim's first race of the season and not a bad start. He will return to the track one more time this season at next week's State Meet.

State of Maine Meet 2/4: Finished in 9th place in the mile, his second race of the season in 5:00. At last year's State Meet he ran 5:13, so not a bad improvement.

MIT Invitational 2/11: Broke 5 minutes in the mile for the first time in college. He ran 4:58.02. This was Tim's last race of the season, so it was nice to end it on a positive note.
