The Primary Jumpkit is made by Pacific Emergency Medical Products and is carried in the EMS Van. The Primary responds with this bag which contains all of the supplies one would need for a call. The Secondary and Tertiary units each carry a hip pack, also made by Pacific Emergency Medical Products, while on duty. These contain only the essential items and supplies required during the first few minutes of a call.
A Motorola HT750 Radio is carried by each member on duty. Responders receive tones and can communicate with each other and Bates Security while en-route. To make communicating easier during special events, lapel mics and ear buds are used. Stand-by bags and hip packs by Ferno and Boundtree are used when multiple crews are in-service or during large events requiring extra staff such as concerts, parties or sports competitions. An AED, Powered suction, Vacuum splits, Backboard, Reeves stretcher, backup Oxygen as well as various other Basic Life Support equipment and supplies also arrive on scene in the EMS Vehicle. |
