for humanity
Beautifully flawed
and intriguingly twisted

I have a soft spot
for the human race
in all its fucked up glory
As it struggles
and hates
and loves
and fights
and embraces

I have a deep love
for people
for who they are
and what they're passionate about
for who they want to be
for their secrets
and for their imperfections

I
love
people

Not because of
their anatomy
Or because of
who they love
Did they once
play with dolls
or trucks?
Do they call themselves
man
or woman?
All so simply and gracefully
irrelevant

people

Don't try to define who
Don't try to ask me why

No reason
is needed
for loving
