(Untitled)

The first time I kissed a girl
I found out
that there really were
kisses
like the ones in my dreams,
and that
I had never really kissed
how I knew
kissing
could be—
for me—
before…

The soft
sweetness
gently
drinking her
in
slowly
deeply—
like breathing
underwater…

My fingertips on her
skin
so soft!
skin of silk—
I never knew I
could touch
skin so soft—
lips and kisses
          on skin
rolling tongue
in kisses
and lips
on skin…

Butterflies
in
my eyes
in
my body
on
my cheek
her lashes
warming my face
with her eyes
I am drowning in her
hidden from
the cold wind
on my back…

In
the moon
light
on her face—
I see me!
soft
smooth
small
lips and kisses
and kisses and lips
on skin—
my skin!
I am kissing myself!
my own lips
my own face
kissing my
Self—
And then I know:
this is me
I am kissing her
I am kissing me...

In
the unbelievable closeness
of
her
I am finding
the Self—
I have never,
and always,
known—
in her lips
and her soft kisses
on my
newborn
skin.
