HIGH SCHOOL ARTISTS TO PERFORM AT BATES
LEWISTON, Maine -- Two groups of Edward Little High School student
musicians will perform a concert at Bates College on
"No More Sequins," a newly-formed jazz/pop a cappella group under the
direction of Kathleen Fuller-Cutler, features 17 male and female vocalists and
will perform music of the 1950s through the '90s, including compositions by
John Lennon, the Manhattan Transfer and Tennessee Ernie Ford.
The Instrumental Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of M. Shane Davis,
specializes in "big band music" and will perform a variety of selections
including "Jive at Five" by Count Basie.
