Bates Modern Dance Company Presents Spring Concert
LEWISTON, Maine -- The Bates College Modern Dance Company, under the artistic direction of Marcy Plavin, will present its annual spring concert in a series of three performances on
From struggle and resistance to Cupid's divine intervention, from the humorous frustration of a desperate manhunt to disillusioned mystics on the loose, the annual spring concert will showcase -- to the accompaniment of music masters such as Mozart, Marvin Gaye and k.d. lang -- the best work of students, faculty and guest artists including Plavin, of the Bates theater department, Randy James, of New York, and Elizabeth Hansen, of Lewiston.
Tickets may be purchased in advance by calling the Schaeffer Theatre box office at 786-6161, Monday through Friday between 3 and 5 p.m. The box office will be open one hour prior to each of the performances.
