Noonday Concert Series Continues
LEWISTON, Maine -- The Bates College Noonday Concert Series continues its winter season with a selection of programs throughout the month of February. The free concerts, open to the public, will be held on Tuesdays from 12:30 to 1 p.m. at the College's Olin Arts Concert Hall, located on Russell Street in Lewiston.
Guitarist Ken Labrecque, bass player Greg Lindholm and drummer Lance Burpee wil perform jazz improvisations on standard tunes on Feb. 6.
On Feb. 13, Joshua Clark '97 and Meredith Haviland '98 will perform trumpet duets by Telemann, Corelli, Hummel and others.
There will be no concert on Feb. 20 during the College recess. On Feb. 27, baritone Timothy Neal Johnson will join pianist Judith Quimby from the Univeristy of Southern Maine in a performance of Robert Schumann's "Dichteliebe."
