Historical Note

From the Bates website, the mission of the Human Resources department: "Through personalized service and consistent application of policies and procedures, contribute to building and supporting a community that respects and values all employees' contributions towards maximizing our student's experience at Bates."

The Bates Personnel Office was officially created in 1991, and was renamed Human Resources in 1999.
