Historical Note[From the website.] The Bates College Student Employment Office is a student-managed division of the Human Resources Department. The office acts as a resource for both students and employers, being a centralized office through which issues concerning student employment are channeled. Our primary function is to assist Bates students in finding on-campus student employment; the office only facilitates and regulates the application process. The office posts off-campus positions, including babysitting and tutoring jobs found in the surrounding community. Along with this, the office posts a variety of work-study opportunities in non-profit or for profit agencies in Maine. Information about student employment at Bates is available at the Student Employment Office, in addition to the Internet.
