Tips
- Copy and Paste - All web browsers allow you to select text
from web pages by dragging your cursor over it. In the Edit
menu at the top of the window, select to Copy. Go into your
favorite word processor and go to the Edit menu and down to
Paste. At least be SURE to copy the web address (URL) from
which the material came.
-
Save As.. - All web browser also support the saving of web
pages to a hard drive or disk. If you go to the File menu
and select Save As.., there may be an option to save as Text,
HTML or even a Web Archive. Any of these formats will preserve
the content of the web page and allow you to load it into
your web browser just like you load a document into your word
processor.
-
Printing - If you will be printing out a lot of web pages
in a public facility, please use the duplexing (2 sided) feature
of the public printers. Go to the File menu and down to Print.
Click on the Properties button and select to print on both
sides of the page. This will mean less pages to get jumbled
up and more environmental by saving paper.
