Event Support for Students
Student requests are always handled as a loaner pool request.
If a student or student group is sponsoring an event, which
they believe needs more services than the loaner pool provides,
they should have a faculty or staff member make the request
to the CTES office. At this time CTES will determine if it
is an event that requires our support. For student organized,
College sponsored events, our office does have equipment that
can be checked out. If a student is planning an event it is
their responsibility to reserve and pick up the equipment
before the loaner pool closes at 9:00 PM. It is also their
responsibility to return the equipment on the first business
day following the event. The equipment will not be checked
out for personal student parties, or for off-campus events.
If several students want the equipment on consecutive weekend
nights, it will be their responsibility to coordinate the
pickup and return of the equipment with the other students.
CTES will maintain the equipment and coordinate its repair.
In order to receive this equipment, students must agree to
the following conditions:
The student
who takes the equipment must be knowledgeable in its use.
If training
is needed on the equipment it must be scheduled in advance
with the CTES office.
A check
out form must be completely filled out and returned to the
CTES office before the equipment is taken.
If damage
is done to the equipment, student listed on the form will
be charged the cost of repair. This includes a one-time charge
of $25 if the equipment is not returned in the condition it
was received. This includes the changing of wiring or poorly
coiled cables.
A fee
of $2 per hour will charged to the account listed in this
document if the equipment is not returned on time. After 3
days of not being returned, or if the CTES office has to pick
up the equipment to make it available for another pickup,
the student's account will be charged $50.
