Middlebury Joins NExpress

Middlebury College has joined NExpress, adding more subject
strengths to the library collectons Bates users may draw upon. Library
borrowers now have direct requesting services for books from Middlebury,
Williams, Wellesley, Northeastern, Colby, and Bowdoin via NExpress, as
well as all the other libraries in Maine through MaineCat.

New York Times available online

A digital edition of the
New York Times
can now be delivered "hot off the publisher's presses" to your
Bates-networked computer. Flip through the pages and browse
headlines just as you would the newspaper.

Paul Benham has started work at Bates as a Desktop Operations
Specialist in the Desktop Support Group. Paul, who comes to Bates from
the Cape Elizabeth School Department, has a strong background working with
Apple computers. He will be responsible for developing the Apple computer
images, supporting the Apple labs and working with Wil Quenga
on other desktop operations responsibilities. Please join us in welcoming
Paul to Information and Library Services and Bates College.

LOOKING FOR INCOME TAX FORMS?
Ladd Library has a limited supply of both FEDERAL and STATE OF
MAINE forms and instructions. They are located on the wooden display
shelves, Ground Floor, near the Government Documents Collection.
Publication 1132 (Reproducible Copies of Federal Tax Forms &
Instructions) is also available there.
