There are several "outside" factors that can cause disruption of Bates network services. Please remember, this is a benefit to the Bates Community, not a guaranteed service. Please consider the following before submitting a problem report:
Check to make sure your computer is still firmly plugged into the network.
Are the username and password being accepted? Could the caps lock been on, or is there an accidental space typed before the username?
Is this a scheduled IS maintenance time when connections cannot be made?
If you are a PC user, have you restarted your machine, and logged into the network?
