Vista Support

Bates College supports connecting student computers with the Microsoft Vista operating system to the Bates network. Instructions for configuring Vista to connect to the Bates network can be found here.

Changing Password

First year students will receive their Password Change Token with their Housing Packet in the mail. The Password Change Token will allow users to access the Bates Password Manager. Logging into the Password Manager will give users the opportunity to create their own Bates Password which will be used for email, network access and other Bates network services. More information on Passwords can be found here.

Returning students should look for reminders to change their password in their email accounts. Paswords are require to be changed each year. If you have further questions regarding changing your password, please check the Password FAQ page or contact Help Desk Services.

BLive is a web-based collaboration tool that allows you to chat and share desktops with a Member of the Help Desk Services Team.
