First Year Seminar Papers
Featured in this issue of E-clectic are research papers submitted by students in First Year Seminars. The announced competition drew 25 entries from among which members of the FYS Reading Committee chose one Top Prize and 3 Honorable Mentions.

The committee believes that the twenty-five superb entries illustrate the excellent teaching first-year students receive in these seminars. With so many entries of high quality, the committee awarded a Top Prize and three Honorable Mentions rather than a first, second and third prize.
